Corporate Partners

BreakTurn assists corporate partners by finding the right service member candidate for your organization. Not only will you get early access to Service Members before they separate but you will also get them SALARY FREE. They will continue to receive their full pay and benefits from the military for up to 180 days while they are on SkillBridge. The commitment from you is that you will provide value to the service member through training, experience, or education in a way that will lead to employment either within your organization or another organization. The goal of the program is to ensure Service Members make a seamless transition from the military into the civilian sector.

Training Opportunities

Many of our candidates are looking for initial flight training or A&P certification. While students may not provide you with the salary savings, SkillBridge allows Service Members to attend training full time while still receiving their full military pay and benefits. Training facilities can also utilize SkillBridge for positions like CFI’s, maintainers and operations positions.

Why Partner with BreakTurn?

In order for companies to host service members on the SkillBridge program, they must be an approved DoD provider. Historically, it takes 9-18 months to be approved by the DoD. By partnering with BreakTurn, you can have immediate access to the SkillBridge program through our approval.

Even after being approved many companies find the amount of paperwork and bureaucracy to be overwhelming. BreakTurn manages all of the SkillBridge paperwork and processes. BreakTurn promotes your opportunities to our pool of candidates and pre-qualifies candidates before we introduce you. You process and onboard candidates just like you normally would – we do the rest. We are the aviation SkillBridge easy button.

Commonly Asked Questions:

Are we responsible for paying candidates during their SkillBridge?
No. Not only are you not responsible but you are not allowed to pay them a salary during this time. They will maintain their active-duty pay through the military.
Do we need to provide them benefits?
No. Just like their salary, they maintain all of their benefits from the military including health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance. The military is not responsible for any liability coverage, so the company may need to provide that like they would for any other employee or intern working for your company.
Are we required to hire a candidate after they complete SkillBridge?
No, there can be no requirement on the part of either the company or candidate to stay on following SkillBridge. However, the goal of the program is ongoing employment, so for most candidates the intent should be to bring them on as a full time employee following their time on Skillbridge.
What if a candidate isn’t a good fit after they have been placed or if they want to leave?
As of yet, this has never happened for a BreakTurn candidate and for the entire SkillBridge program it is very rare. BreakTurn’s counseling and application process provides an additional layer of protection ensuring only qualified and motivated candidates are placed with your company and that the company meets the individuals long-term goals. Additionally, a service member who does not complete their SkillBridge has to return to their unit. If a situation were to arise you can be assured that BreakTurn will do everything possible to make the situation right for you and the service member.
